It's both!

 

After Cheap Oil, created by artist Paul Anderson, is a new artwork with a practical use! Located in front of SoMA Galleries on The Parade, After Cheap Oil is also a place to park your bike. The sculpture is made of used car parts and aims to raise issues of sustainability in an amusing and practical way.

 

"The intention of the sculpture," says Anderson "is to prompt public consideration of what the world will do with all the cars when all the oil runs out!"
