Convenient Local Car Parking

The Parade, Norwood is a premium shopping precinct which attracts customers from many areas.

As such the Council has placed time limits on many roadside car parking spaces immediately surrounding the The Parade and to the spaces on the ground floor of the Webbe Street Car Park. Unrestricted parking is available on the first level of the Webbe Street car park, to which we welcome customers who wish to extend their shopping experience.

We invite you to explore the many free parking options available, which are tailored for all requirements. Naturally, in keeping with all major shopping centres in Adelaide, the most accessible parking options are usually those with generous time restrictions.

Roadside parking (without time limits) is generally available within a five minute walking distance from The Parade.

It should be noted that the owners of some private parking facilities have decided to charge an entry fee and the motorist is encouraged to carefully read the terms and conditions of entry prior to entering a private car parking area. Additional fees and charges may be levied by the car park owner if the terms and conditions are not observed.

Webbe Street Car Park

Webbe Street runs parallel to The Parade behind the Town Hall and Norwood Place (ie. northern side) between Edward and George Streets.

The Webbe Street Car Park has two levels

  • Ground level – two hour time limited FREE parking during normal retail hours
  • Second level – unlimited FREE parking. This level closes at 5.30 pm Monday – Wednesday & Friday – Sunday, and at 9.30pm on Thursdays.

Norwood Place Car Park

Basement  :   car parking entered from Webbe Street. The first 2 hours are free.

Roof top    :   this level, whilst accessible from the Webbe Street car park, is privately owned by "Norwood Place". Free parking is available for the first  two hours, $1 for the third hour and $2 for the fourth hour (maximum). This level closes at 5.30 pm Monday – Wednesday & Friday – Sunday, and at 9.30pm on Thursdays.

The Parade Central Car Park

The Parade Central Car Park is located immediately behind The Parade Central building on the corner of The Parade and George Street (north-east corner). Parking is free if you shop at the Parade Central and have your docket validated by a participating trader.

Norwood Coles Car Park

The Coles Car Park surrounds the Coles – Norwood Mall shopping complex between George & Edward Streets on the southern side of The Parade. This car park is free to use though a time limit of up to two hours applies. Please check signs.

Private Car parks

Private car parks are provided by retailer for use by their respective customers. If using these areas to park your vehicle please ensure that you "play fair" and visit the relevant retail outlet, restaurant or service provider.

Parking for the Disabled

The most accessible and convenient parking options for those members of our community who carry a valid "Disabled Persons" permit are located in the following areas:

  • on the ground floor of the Webbe Street Car Park (5 spaces)
  • on the first floor of the Webbe Street car Park (2 spaces)
  • on the Norwood Place rooftop car park (2 spaces)
  • in the Coles Mall car park (4 spaces)

Please note that all vehicles parked in these spaces must have a valid permit displayed on the passenger side dashboard.
