Dillons Bookshop has been a Norwood Parade icon since Ross & Sue Dillon and family opened the store in 1985 .. over 25 years ago!

Today, with much thanks to their loyal customers, the shop has grown to be South Australia's largest independent book store.

Not only does Dillons' boast a huge choice of fiction, non-fiction & reference titles ... it's a haven for parents! Their range of children's books is second to none, and there is an ABC Centre onsite which means CDs and DVDs are also prominent.

Many customers have been used to seeing an Angus and Robertson sign out the front for many years, but in 2010, Ross and Sue decided it was the right time to become an independent book store, following the end of their franchise agreement.

Ross was quite excitedly heard saying ... "I weighed up the advantages and disadvantages of continuing as an Angus & Robertson franchise and I decided it was the right time for a change.

"It's (Dillons) a successful and well known business and I anticipate that people will continue to support us. We'll endeavour to be better than we've ever been!"

Staff have been QUICK to say "Nothing has really changed for our wonderful customers ... we're all the same team and familiar faces around the store; our range is equally as large and impressive; our passion for reading and helping customers to choose titles that match their passion never wavers; and our prices are just as sharp as always!"
